front of Governor’s Mansion Hotel and our guests enjoy free admission to the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre where they
can learn about the two National Historic Sites: Boishébert and Beaubears Island Shipbuilding National Historic Sites of Canada, J. Leonard O'Brien
to the island by boat or paddle yourself in a canoe. This is a key stop in Northern
New Brunswick’s Destination Acadie Experience where you will learn about early settlement, the Acadian deportation,
Camp D’Ésperance and the subsequent 19th century shipbuilding on Beaubears
